Education and Training

UCFVSRCTec, as part of a strategic  alliance with its higher education partners and the School District of Abbotsford (SD 34) is taking the lead to put in place a comprehensive education infrastructure plan that will allow students as early as grade 10 to receive credits and prepare them for career in the high tech sector. In collaboration with its partners, SRCTec plans to deliver elaborate regional campaigns to generate awareness and interest in careers within the high tech sector and enhance enrolment in related technology programs.

UCFVTo be prepared and to meet the demand for technically skilled as well as business oriented workers for the forecast high tech penetration into the Region, SRCTec plans to (from its campus at Abbotsford Technology Park) deliver a robust training program. SRCTec understands that to meet the requirements the Region must not train local talent but also be prepared to facilitate and assist international workers in adjusting to social and regional environments. Most importantly, there policies must be in place, that will facilitate the transition of overseas credentials to comply with Canadian standards and requirements. SRCTec is dedicated to the bridging and deployment of programs to facilitate this critical deliverable.
